Saskatchewan
I was diagnosed in 1992. I had surgery to remove the brain tumour. The effects of the surgery was a loss of normal balance and a damaged facial nerve which made one side of my face sag. It regrew and I had surgery again in 1992. The third time that it regrew the treatment was radiation. That killed it. The brain can learn to balance with your eyes and ankles and it isn’t a big problem as long as I can see the ground. The damaged facial nerve has caused me the most problems with a dry eye from not blinking properly. I look a bit odd and my speech isn’t perfect but life goes on. I could still continue with my farm. The doctors are more careful these days to avoid damaging the facial nerve. Hope this answers some of your questions.
