Subject: RE: My nitrates in my water

Northeast Iowa
I wish I had a source for that figure for sure, if you know where to find it.

The math adds up to where a 165 pound person would need to drink something like 26 gallons of water to have acute toxicity from nitrates at 20ppm (20mg/l)

The acceptable daily nitrate level (from any source, vegetable, lunch meats, bacon) is quite a bit lower than acute toxicity. A 50 pound person, for example, could drink .83 gallons (106 fl oz) of water in a day, and have no other nitrate source in their diet before exceeding a recommended rate of daily nitrates.

Regardless, would like perfect water available (I'll be indifferent to my source)

Thanks in advance If you have a source for your claim you can share with me!
