South Central MN | Depends on the part of the state you are in, here in MN the southern area is (to my knowledge) shotgun/slug only, guess they figure rifle bullets can travel too far if you miss. Good 20GA shotgun slug rounds can travel pretty danged far though. That said even a .22LR can take out a deer with good shot placement. .223 would be better but many locations won't allow them. As others said larger rounds will do better. | |
