It's really not hard to grasp that it can have value. Heck, even our dollars are mostly just numbers on a computer anymore. Between checks and credit cards............along with loan transfers and electronic payments............I bet I spend 1000 times more with electronics than I do with cash.

The only difference is the $ can be printed into oblivion.

BTC has a finite supply.

I get that part about finite supply. But it’s finite bitcoin. Other cryptos can do the same thing which means there could be infinite crypto supply. Thus once the shine wears off BTC it becomes worthless as others take a shine.

Again what’s stopping me from creating a digital currency based of some code for my finger prints? That’s super unique and limited. BUT everyone else could do the same thing and then I’m competing with them. The supply of fingerprint currency goes up. Just like with new cryptos. All of a sudden there’s more and more of it and it’s not so special.
