Townsend, Montana | I liked firearms, explosives, and straight pipes as a teenager (still do). Was too dumb to use hearing protection back then. Have had constant tinnitus since about 15. Can't hear in a crowd at all. Somehow though, I can pick up out of place mechanical noises far better than anyone.
I started on an elimination diet for some other health problems a couple years ago and have stuck with it for several years now. Tinnitus is a quarter of what it used to be. Completely gone in the morning and comes and goes by nighttime depending on what I have been listening to all day.
Still struggle to hear certain people and music notes but much better than 3 years ago.
I keep earplugs in my pocket 24/7 now and wear them a lot. I got a second chance on my hearing and I'm not going to screw it up this time. | |
