I used to feel a trade imbalance was really negative with importing poverty while exporting wealth but after thinking about it more I’m not sure it is as dumb as some seem to think. If I have a fiat currency and you are willing to sell me vast amounts of your resources and labor in exchange for something that only has value based on belief who really is the fool?


I know I pondered how places like CA could be so expensive to live, pay extremely high wages, and be sustainable in the US, I pretty much reached a similar conclusion.

This is also why other countries are trying alternatives to the dollar.

My HUGE issue with tariffs, is where do the funds go that are collected from soybeans? Trump at least routed some through MFP. Biden just ran off with the funds collected to idk where.
