Subject: RE: Litter Spreader vertical vs spinner

S.E. Iowa
I have a knight side slinger and works just ok for fine stuff. I also have rented a vertical beater, and at a 2 ton rate, I don't think it would do that great. I own a 26-foot litter spreader, and it can do the best. I tried once to spread city sludge, which is 85 percent water with the litter spreader. It did ok on the spread pattern, but a lot stuck to the sides. It may have worked better if there were more crossbars in the chain. We have spread some pretty wet litter with the Chandler and got along good.
