| see and thats the problem im having with the big 3 too. was hearing alot of 70 bushels on wheat, 40 on beans....canola shelled out rather quickly before harvest with that 60 mph wind that came though. i didnt have 70 bushel wheat...or 40 bushel beans....and i tried to buy it. and it didnt work...and at the current prices with what i believe they will yield at... it doesnt pencil in any way shape or form. so really....whats the harm in trying an oddity....when it has the same amount of gambles. yield can be **** (wheat), can shell out (canola)... can cause a problem for next years crop (canola) beans dont grow in alkaline soil....and up here in the north all the pot holes are FULL of it. there isnt any safe choice really here. its all a gamble. one way or another. all the crops are going to be disappointing from my forward outlook. lol | |
