Latimer, Iowa (north central)
1000 ton a year times $40 a ton is $40,000 a year of fertilizer. If it’s not spread evenly it has little to negative value. With that dry of litter you need a regular spreader with poultry pan attachment beaters to do a great job. Either hire someone with a Tebbe and rate controller for $8-10 a ton to spread or buy a quality spreader. We have a Tebbe and spread all kinds of things from eggshells, lime, all moistures of poultry, and cattle feedlot manure. You Can make some extra money spreading for others too.

Buy a used Tebbe or an Artsway. You are in western Iowa, pretty close to both a great Tebbe dealer in Greenfield Sales or the Artsway factory who are good guys too. Both spreaders have pluses and minuses.
