When do you make payments to the hospitals and doctors? Is it before or after you get the money from CHM? How much of a bill do you pay? If the cost is X do you pay X or just a percentage of X? And at what kind of time frame are we looking at to pay off everyone? Can you walk us through how this works?
I have been with CHM for years, but only had one claim. Here is how my claim went:
1) Get treated
2) Tell billing department that you are self pay. Ask for self pay discount. Discounts ranged from 25% to 80% depending on the doctor, hospital, lab.
3) Pay the bill. You can make payments or pay in full. Some will give you more discount if you pay in full. Others will simply divide your bill into monthly payments.
4) Send your bills to CHM and note the discounts your received. The discounts come out of the deductible. Here is an example:
I have a $5000 deductible with CHM (you can choose different levels). My bills totaled $10,000, but I negotiated them down to $6000 paid in full at time bills received. $5000 deductible from $10,000 total bills, means that I get a check from CHM for $5000 in about 45 days. In this example, my out of pocket was $1000.
They have been doing sharing since 1981. Here are their examples: https://chministries.org/how-it-works/scenarios/

Edited to add: I should also note that the billing departments at the doctor, hospital, ect don't require immediate payment. They will wait the 45 days for you to get the money from CHM. Insurance companies make them wait even longer, so they have no problem giving you 2 months to get the money to them. Like I said earlier, some will give more discount for earlier pay, but not always.
