Lancaster County, Pa. | We have been with medishare for several years. Have never been completely satisfied but it was adequate. When we started with medishare they acted more like a real insurance company than chm, they would pay the doctor directly. That seems to have changed, at least in our area. In late February of this year i had hernia surgery. We had to pay the hospital out of pocket the same as if we would have had chm. The problem is that we are still waiting to be reimbursed, and it does not seem like it will happen anytime soon, maybe never. My poor wife has spent hours on the phone dealing with them getting the documentation that they are asking for several times over. It has been ridiculous. We will be moving from medishare to chm.
Edit to add: what is extra frustrating is that I could have paid the bill with the premiums that I have sent to medishare since the surgery and had money left over.
