I have no skin in this game.
The last major merger in this area resulted in me losing a good market for my grain. I don’t know exactly what changed internally but the resulting larger coop doesn’t bid as aggressively for grain.
Oh but you now get the volume discount pricing on seed and chems,,,,,,lol Thats always been my beef where is the volume buying discounts ???? Never seen a merger do much of a damn thing cept upper management / Ceo gets bigger paychk. Cant say Ge or New have did much for higher grain bids or lower inputs with each buy out. Its the Ft Dodge E plants that have helped the most on the corn bids here in N/C Iowa. |
