I was with Altrua health share but huge problems getting a major claim paid made me go back to BC/BS. What I dislike about BC/BS is out of state medical care is not covered. We are close to Nebraska so it is easier to go that way for specialist or major surgery but not covered up there.

It is/can be. Just not the plan you chose. Guessing you have an HMO type plan without seeing it with my own eyes.
