Northern Nebraska | I think Bush 1 and Clinton sold the future down the river, probably for personal gain. I don't think that we can mainland manufacturing back to America. So in my opinion all a trade war does is hurt those who already have existing exports and those buying goods in the US. The owners of the factories producing cheap inferior goods across the world are the problem. Not the countries those factories reside in. Put on tariffs on a country long enough and the factory just moves. The problem hasn't been solved and lots of working class folks got hurt financially in both countries.
