Hillsboro, TN | Are you a candidate for spinal decompression through a chiropractor? If it were me, I'd at least check that before surgery, if you haven't already.
My mother (age 70) suffers from rheumatoid arthritis. She was diagnosed in her late teens. She's had 3 hip replacements, her toes straightened, several broken bones and some other complications. After a fall last year (broke her tailbone) she started having pain down her left leg along with nagging back pain. Of course, her Dr said the only way to fix it was surgery. She's very "knife"shy, so she consulted a chiropractor about spinal decompression. He recommended, with all her issues, 30 something sessions which required visits 3× week to his office. The treatments were fairly expensive, I thought, and didn't restore her to 100%, but they helped relieve the pain and make it manageable. (The chiropractor even told her she one of his most complicated cases). She avoided surgery for now, which is a huge plus in her mind.
