Subject: RE: corn fungicide choice

Northeast, Nebraska
Yes, I do happen to sell this product, but just starting to this next upcoming year. I farm 10 quarters of family owned ground. The reason I have decided to sell it is because of the results that I have seen the last 2 years. I have used it to stop white mold in soybeans when 2 rounds of fungicide wouldn't stop it and this year I did trials with it against fungicide on corn as I planted 100% corn this year. We had really really bad southern rust and late season tarspot. I split a field and used a drone to apply. We saw no yield difference between the two. When physically scouting the field before harvest, the fungicide treated corn had noticeable tarspot that came in late. On the side that only had the biological product, we had to really search to find tar spot. Rust was already on the plants at treatment time. My wife and I farm and run an ag service business on the side. Our main focus is to help farmers improve their roi. We sell other biological products as well as soil testing, and soil moisture probes. I am not a slick foo foo dust salesman. The soil testing we do tests for nutrients, biology, disease and pests in the soil like corn rootworm eggs, soybean cyst nematodes and we can also test soil for white mold and sudden death which we do by analyzing the soil DNA. Over 10 million data points per sample. Biologicals are not a one size fits all. You need to test the soil and then see what you are missing. We focus on selling you only what you need at a reasonable cost. Our nutrient mapping when doing soil tests is high resolution 10 meter by 10 meter squares. The most precise soil mapping on the market that I am aware of. If you want to be ignorant and make comments like "He probably sells it!" that is fine. I know what I am about and I am just here to try and help people. Times are tough and most of us just love tearing each other apart.
