Foot of the Bighorns | Remember the a.i. loading of a glyphosate is irrelevant for price comparisons as the salt and acid are both included in that number, the salt kills nothing the acid does(“a.e.”). Acid equivalent is the only way to accurately compare glyphosate formulations outside of surfactant loading and formulation quality. “5 lb” willow wood stuff is actually 4 lb acid equivalent. For reference RT3 is 4.5 lb a.e., Powermax 3 is 4.8 lb a.e. So surfactants/quality aside, for price comparison sake 36 oz of the FBN 5 lb a.i. = 32 oz RT3 = 30 oz Pmax 3. There’s a.e. charts floating around the webs with all the different flavors so should help with truly accurate price comparisons. fwiw
