| I know this has been discussed before, but I believe it's a moving target. Prices have shot up on things like batteries, tires, and insurance, while grain prices are looking soft. I'm thinking if 9 dollar soybeans and 4 dollar corn are the new norm maybe farm wagons should get another look. We probably all agree that trucks are faster and more comfortable but recently insurance in our state has gone up generally by around 40+ percent. Batteries that recently cost $80 are now over $200, truck parts in general are more proprietary than in the old days, and shop labor rates are bumping $200 per hour. So my question is, do wagons deserve another look? I know every situation is different, but trucks are becoming more expensive by design and by inflation. | |
