West Central Indiana | Complete clean outs are always a pain. I probably do more cleaning/flushing than needed but so far, haven’t had any problems when switching crops. Here’s what makes clean outs easier for me:
1. Charge with just water at the end of each day of spraying. Just remember to re-charge booms before starting the next day
2. Try not to leave any loads in the tank for very long. Atrizine is probably the worst
3. Heavy squirt of Dawn seems to really help keep screens and tank cleaner. I use it in every load
4. Check all chemical totes/jugs before using. The worst clean out job I’ve had was because I didn’t check a tote of Makaze. It was contaminated with all kinds of trash. | |
