Yes different plants have different efficiencies in biochemical pathways, and some differences in physiology. Honestly biological organisms are very complex.

I agree. I am constantly searching for the latest research information on genetic families in corn and how we can put together management programs starting with soil tests results on a field-by field basis. Will be putting together dates and locations in January for meetings to discuss in person on online podcast.
