Bavaria/Germany | A very good solution would be for you a trimble easyguide with the electric Motor on site of the steering wheel!
Trimble originally did develop this mainly for pick ups with a sprytank on and the sprayboom got pulled oer the field! It was (I think nearly 20 years ago?) a very big business for Trimble did create satified customers and it did work fine!
I think your Pick up does have a Airbag in the steeringwheel? And as you mention very limited space under the steering wheel. SO the ontrac (Novariant) steering drive will not fit and will be dangerous
