I keep free choice mineral in front of the cows 24/7/365. Cows have been on corn stalks for over a month, first few weeks with nice weather I won’t give them any hay. Started supplementing alfalfa now for the protein. Cheapest/easiest source of protein I can get by far, especially this year.
