Mather, Manitoba | My new gm gasser (sits in heated garage) will be stone dead in 2 weeks. I installed a gm door keypad entry and it now only takes 1 week for the battery to be dead. Seems to take longer to drain if the keys are out of range. I've been just disconnecting the positive terminal when I know I wont be using it for a while.
When I hook up the positive it always sets off the alarm and Onstar as well. Thinks the vehicle is getting stolen, so have to have the keys and fob in hand so I cycle the locks before the Onstar computer calls 911.
