East Central, Nebraska | not entirely true. if the current monitor has a serial port it is possible that it can be controlled by the app rate module.
we did this for a number of years when we did custom spraying. i would use an insight and app rate to control a raven 440/460 with a serial port to do variable rate.
i also did this for a number of years with an insight and later with an integra controlling a rawson accurate box, variable rating seed.
the function of the app rate is limited on control like state before but was a way to access more primitive monitors that had a serial port for outside control. as i state before i am unfamiliar with the OP's current setup so i am unsure if rate can be controlled or not. i am not aware of any situation though that would allow section control with an app rate module, meaning i do not believe a situation exists where it is possible to use an app rate to turn a section on or off, though as stated it can read if that section was turned on manually or not and record the coverage. | |
