coast of Maine | Be sure to cycle all sprayer functions.Too much product can linger in the systems valves /filters.That being said when switching herbicides to sensitive crops I remove the boom filters and rinse the cups.Some times the sediment in them will spook you.On a real clean switch I only use 2 qts of ammonia in a 100 gal rinse tank,,thats after a clean field rinse.Used to use Tide,and look for zero foam and figured clean then.
Because of the risk of one error causing an entire farm collapse ,we have a sprayer for herbicides and one for insecticides.I spend way way less time cleaning out that way and have a very good nights sleep...It is an easy way for a veg/fruit farmer to gain valuable time. | |
