So does anyone know why soybeans got the special treatment to be non-refundable in 1995 and the other crops did not? You'd think all of the crops would have wanted to piggy-back onto that. And soybeans have the highest at half a percent of value. Corn is quarter percent of value. Wheat in ND is 1.5 cents (looking to raise it to 2 cents this year). On a per acre basis corn takes the least, soybeans take the most. 1000 bushel truck of $10 beans has a fifty dollar bill taken out.
