NW Wisconsin
Let them out on stalks and have free choice alfalfa orchardgrass bales for them to eat. Been out on stalks over 2 weeks and are eating 25% of what they would on just straight bales. Really adds up quick. So far vs budgeted they are about 11 bales behind budget. Which just means more I can sell to the people that run out of hay at the end of march LOL. I have used protein tubs in the past but anything purchased vs raised on the farm is just too expensive... I do however love Purina Stress tubs during breeding season and weaning. Those for me pay very well. Nothing on the farm can replace those.
