southern MN | Not since ours burned, reopened, they closed the main highway past them for 2+ years, management/ employees got a little lazy; and they shut down. They were not making it with all the issues.
It was a kfc and toco combo store, so wife and I could find chicken and Mexican there, worked well for us. I think their chicken was getting kind of grizzled towards the end.
Dairy Queen and Burger King also shut down in town.
As some others mentioned, fast food places are all in trouble, with the high labor and lack of workers their food is no longer cheap. Many of them are having supply issues so they are out of 1/4 of the things on their menu. Lack of employees and they aren’t fast either.
Many of the chains have decreased advertising and are relying on internet promotions, which doesn’t reach certain segments of society. Cuts costs, but chisels away at customer base.
Quality of their food was never a top selling point, you take away the cheap and fast and why is anyone going to fast food any more? Blah!
Just had a good hot dish meal with baked beans and mixed veggies and a dinner roll and coffee for $9.90 at the grocery store cafe, was served up quicker than a fast food and it’s cheaper and very much better.
Who wants to go to fast food any more?
