Are you sure there isn’t a nest inside the opening of the wiper? If there is then maybe cover that opening
i agree with this. had a birds nest in that opening on my 1620.
doesn't happen every year. i also get to battle this mess on
occasion. on both my 3688 and 5288. clean it out and next
day its back. they sure are persistent. now l leave them in my
shop for a week and that stops the problem.
