| I don't know about avitrol in particular but going to assume it will be similar to what my rodent pest control guy said when i asked about dead mice and rats being eaten by cats dogs and he said cats/dogs can smell that the animal died from poison and won't touch it, i can say this is true as my dog used to eat or at least play with dead rodents once they started dying from the poison all he does is sniff them and keeps moving.
