Not sure if it's possible to ever get movement back into his wrist but had my older brother got hand arm banged up in a baler. He could close his had but couldn't open it or lift his wrist so they made him an brace that went over top with bands on it so it would open his hand and lift his wrist for him. Between that and acupuncture he got full movement back in it.
