Subject: Yankees broke a record for home runs in their opening game of the year

I forgot whether it was 7 or 9 home runs in one game. I found it equaly interesting they credited a redesigned bat configuration. In a old standard bat the fattest part of the bat was at the far end. They had their bat shapers to back that up 6-8 inches. So it goes from thin handle to fattest in middle of bat then back to smaller on the far end.

Took them long enough in years to discover that trick and how long till every team has that done for them.
