This question has been asked many times and I have yet to hear an answer. If tarrifs are as bad as everyone on here is claiming why has neither side (rep. or dem.) zeroed them out in the past? We've had a pretty good mix of Republican and democrat in my lifetime and nobody has done anything about them. If adding tarrifs is a death blow to the economy then getting rid of them should be the opposite and whoever got rid of them would go down in history as being a hero. I believe the only reason it's such a big deal now is because it's the man the media has told us we need to hate no matter what. Why don't all other countries zero them out against us? Wouldn't that make their economy the strongest in the world? The doom and gloom news reports don't add up for me

Blowing up trade agreements that have taken years or even decades to develop is never a good thing. Think about this, we've been running approximately at full employment for the past few years. Now we're wanting to bring more manufacturing jobs back here. Where are the workers who will be filling these positions? That doesnt even take into account the folks who are being deported. A already tight labor supply gets even tighter and anything imported costs significantly more and you know domestic manufactures will bump their prices up too. This is a recipe for massive inflation unless the economy crashes first.
