Here in Mn lake country Mercury and Yamaha seem to dominate the market for new sales. It’s been said that a Mercury will get you there quickest but the Yamaha will get you back home. That being said, I wouldn’t be afraid of either one. I personally have a Yamaha 90 four stroke on 22’ pontoon and am happy with it.
