Embarrass WI | My last boat was a 16 foot also, but it was not nearly as wide or deep. That had a 25 hp Mariner/Yamaha 2 stroke and was plenty fast for a fishing boat, got up on plane easily. I didn't make the connection that a deeper wider boat would also be quite a bit heavier(duh) and a 25 is out of it's league.
I have called American, a couple times, the guy says he'll return my call by the end of the day, and nothing. I've heard a few horror stories about them, but they seem to sell a ton of stuff.
I'm not seeing 40-50 horse 4 stroke tiller outboards on Marketplace, even when I search. I don't want to drive to MN or MI to pick one up. I know FB's algorithms can be hard to understand, if you're seeing them, share them with me. I'd really rather not spend the money for a new one if decent used at a realistic price is available. | |
